We had a great time mixing colours on the light table. They show up very well with the extra light. Most of the students already knew a lot about mixing colours but they sure liked experimenting with them.

They started with yellow, red and blue coloured water. |

They were able to make green and black. Lots and lots of black. |

They used eye droppers to add the colours to the mixing cup. |

Students worked very carefully with the eyedroppers and cups. |

The first day of mixing the students were very careful to use drops of colour. The second day they tried using the whole eyedropper to create their colours. They found that the colours were similar even if the volume of liquid increased. |
The students worked mixing colours over two days. This may be something that we will revisit in a few weeks, maybe mixing paint. What fun!
