Kindergarten News – September 19, 2013

          Important Dates

Sept. 20 – ProD Day – No School Tomorrow

Sept. 23 – School Bus Evacuation Drill

Sept. 26 – Terry Fox Run - Rain or Shine

Sept. 27 – Individual Picture Day

Oct. 30 – Field Trip to the Corn Maze

          Please ensure that your child is wearing running shoes on Monday as we will be having a school bus evacuation drill.  Unfortunately we don’t get to go for a ride.

          Please ask your child about their bucket.  We are learning about being kind and filling each other’s buckets. 

          Red week has gone well and we have had great discussions about shades of red as well as texture words as we worked with the supplies. (crystals, powder, paste, sticky)  I was overwhelmed with the amount of red supplies that were brought in for red week.  Please only bring in a coloured item on the weeks below.  Be sure to mark it on your calendar.

Blue & White & Green – Jorja, Kayden, Alexa, Owen, Arlee-Jo, Ethan, Rylan, Liam, Vincent, Justin, Ayva, Jordyn

Yellow & Orange & Black – Payton, Justin, Hayleigh, Erica, Lukas, Jayden, Mariah, Anthony, Livia, Grace, Jaime

 

          I only heard from one family about the hockey tickets for the Chilliwack Giants on December 21 at 7pm.  Let me know if you are interested. 

   It’s common for children to want to invite students from the class to their birthday party.  If you are only passing out a few invitations then please give them to me so that I may secretly tuck them into backpacks.  If you are inviting the whole class then your child may bring them and pass them out.

If you haven’t paid your child’s school fees please do so ASAP.
